BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A much-heralded career like the one put together over more than a half century by Bruce Springsteen is going to get a lot of attention from producers and directors looking to make music biopics. “The Boss” has released 21 studio albums to become a rock icon.
Springsteen finally agreed to having his story – or at least a small part of his story – told by writer/director/producer Scott Cooper (“Crazy Heart”). His “Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 “Nebraska” album. It opens in theaters Oct. 24.
The reason Springsteen agreed to the project was that Cooper wasn’t planning on making a typical biopic.
“It's actually a character-driven drama with some music,” Springsteen says. “So that appealed to me. And also,
