SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — An East Valley school crossing guard has been arrested after Scottsdale detectives allegedly uncovered illegal images of kids on his devices.

According to Scottsdale police, 22-year-old Thomas Giorlando was arrested on Wednesday at his home near McDowell and Hayden roads after authorities searched his phone.

Investigators said they began investigating on Tuesday after an online tip came in, following images of child sex abuse that were uploaded to Dropbox that linked to Giorlando. According to court documents, his search history also showed evidence of his interest in underage children and teens.

Additionally, police found searches related to boys’ clothing and that he had looked up employment and volunteer opportunities that included being around children,
