MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) –Two Madera men were arrested Thursday after deputies say they were found with weapons and over 300 grams of illegal drugs.

According to the sheriff's office, the contraband was discovered while detectives were serving a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of Hull Ave.

Inside, deputies made contact with 58-year-old Eddie Huerta and 30-year-old Alejandro Herrera, both convicted felons, and both prohibited from possessing weapons.

Deputies say they found tear gas, a loaded gun, and ammunition inside the home. They also say they uncovered approximately 332 grams of cocaine and heroin, approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine, and drug packaging material.

Huerta and Herrera were arrested on various drug charges and for their felony violations.
