COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man accused of raping three women is back in jail without bond after court records show he received a lower bond than what prosecutors had requested during his previous arrest.

Philip Daniels , 35, was arrested Oct. 9 on charges of rape, kidnapping and aggravated burglary after police say he posed as a maintenance worker to enter a woman’s apartment on East Long Street downtown. According to court filings, Daniels told the victim he needed to “fix a water leak," then forced his way inside.

The victim, who spoke to 10TV by phone, said he sexually assaulted and threatened to kill her before fleeing with jewelry and credit cards.
