Thousands of runners are preparing for the annual TTCU Tulsa Run, set for Saturday, Oct. 25, in downtown Tulsa. Participants are picking up their race packets on Thursday and Friday at VFW Post 577, which include race bibs and participant shirts.

Something for Every Runner

The Tulsa Run, which started in 1978, offers distances for every level of runner, including a 2K, 5K, and 15K. The race begins at 7:30 a.m., and each year draws thousands of participants eager to test their speed and stamina.

Karen Turcott: Running Late, But Loving It

For some, the Tulsa Run is a lifelong tradition. Karen Turcott started running at age 57 and has completed the race five or six times. Normally a 15K runner, she plans to take on the 5K this year.
