ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - DeKalb County police are asking the public for help as officers investigate a hit-and-run that badly hurt two men last week.
At around 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 14, officers were called to I-20 W near Wesley Chapel Road. Two men had stopped on the side of the road to reattach their truck trailer when a passing pickup truck lost its own trailer.
The trailer hit the men, but the pickup truck kept driving, police said. Both of the victims are expected to survive, but they were seriously injured.
The trailer, made of wood and metal, wasn’t carrying a load when it crashed. Police don’t know the pickup truck’s make or model.
DeKalb County police are looking for the owner of a trailer that detached on I-20 and hit two people. (DeKalb County Police Department)
