CHEYENNE — Stan Christensen, a former longtime educator in Wyoming, started his career at Henderson Elementary in 1962. Little did he know the students he would teach in his first year would still be in his life today.

At the joint reunion for the Class of 1970 for Cheyenne’s Central High School, East High school and St. Mary’s School on Aug. 1, John Bailey, a student from Christensen’s first class, brought him as his guest of honor. He also brought him as his guest to the 50th reunion in 2021, which was delayed a year due by the COVID-19 pandemic.
