JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The man accused of hitting a Jacksonville 13-year-old with his car and leaving her to die could be heading to trial.

Andre Myers, 54, entered a not guilty plea Thursday to the first-degree felony of leaving the scene of a crash involving death. The charge stems from a Sept. 30 hit-and-run killing on Arlington Road North.

Genesis Webber's mother told First Coast News that her daughter had been walking home on her usual route after getting off her after school activity bus.
