HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- A new commission meets for the first time discussing the idea of redrawing the boundaries between Indiana and Illinois.
The newly formed boundary adjustment committee heard two hours of testimony this week on why many Illinois counties want to join the Hoosier state.
Some say residents are tired of being in a democrat-controlled state. However, one committee member pointed out the major difference in laws between the two states.
"They probably will have a lot more voters when they find out that they could lose their dispensary or their ability to legally possess and own marijuana,” Ray McCammon said. “I think that will be a big issue and it will draw a lot more voters out that will have a different agenda.”
