MADISON (WKOW) – A recent investigation by The Cap Times into teacher sexual misconduct has led to a call for answers from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI). Lawmakers are demanding accountability following the newspaper's year-long investigation.

The Cap Times reported that from 2018 to 2023, more than 200 Wisconsin educators were investigated for sexual misconduct or grooming behaviors. The report published last week has prompted state and federal lawmakers to seek answers from State Superintendent Jill Underly, who did not attend the hearing.
