VIENNA, Ohio (WKBN) -- Phil Pegg has been a Vienna Township Trustee for 18 years, and Thursday evening, for the first time, Pegg gave his side of the financial issues that have placed Vienna in fiscal emergency.
Pegg sat alone in his trustee seat Thursday at the township's hall and began by predicting what will be found when the state auditor releases its report on Vienna's finances.
"I believe it's going to find that the trustees mismanaged at the fire department," Pegg said.
He said the biggest issues were with Vienna's ambulance services and its overtime, where some people reported working 100 hours a week. Pegg said he tried stopping it and was told no.
