RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — A property off Bluff Road is set for redevelopment after Richland County Council approved a rezoning request to build a new apartment community.
The project aims to provide affordable housing for veterans 55 and older.
Josh Williams, co-owner of Overtime Bar and Grill, said his family has owned the land since 1951 and has operated several businesses on the property over the years. He said a developer recently approached him with plans to construct apartments on the site next to the family’s longtime business.
Williams hopes construction can begin within the next year.
“Once they clear the land off, get it cleared, do the civil work for it, the drainage and all that, it might be somewhere closer to maybe a year by the time you actually start seeing the structure
