LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - We reported last month that folks with family members buried at the Louisville Cemetery are looking for answers after they realized the cemetery’s staff had been fired, leaving the grounds unkempt.
Many have taken it upon themselves to make sure their loved ones’ graves are kept up, and now, they are hoping to team up with others in the community.
A few of those people met Thursday night and heard from a legislative assistant with Metro Council Member Josie Raymond’s office about potential steps forward.
“It just doesn’t seem that someone should have a family member buried there and then can’t find the grave when they want to go see it,” said William Hughes, who has multiple family members buried at the cemetery.
