LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Walkers, runners, and cyclists will soon have an easier and safer route between Cherokee and Seneca parks in Louisville.
Crews started work on improving the connectivity between the parks on Thursday.
The project is a joint initiative between Louisville Parks and Recreation and Louisville Metro's Department of Transportation.
There will be a new shared pedestrian and bike lane, crosswalks, and other safety features along Seneca Park Road and Pewee Reese Road from Park Boundary Road to Rock Creek Drive.

The cost of the project is $200,000.
Work is scheduled to be done by the middle of November.
