HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - Homework House in Holyoke participated in the national 'Lights On Afterschool' event, joining over 8,000 communities across the country to highlight the importance of afterschool programs.

Organized by the After School Alliance, 'Lights On Afterschool' is a nationwide initiative that underscores the role of afterschool programs in supporting youth and families.

Homework House, a local participant, provides free daily services to students from Holyoke Public Schools. Students from Holyoke Public Schools attend Homework House for free, and they are brought directly from school through the Holyoke Public School transportation system.
