COLERAINE — The Pine River-Backus boys' and girls' cross-country teams saw their seasons end at the Section 7-1A finals Thursday, Oct. 23, at Eagle Ridge Golf Course.

No Tiger runners advanced to the Class 1A state meet.

PR-B's Jayce Compton, who led the Tigers all season, placed 43rd in 18:49.4, and William Adams was 68th in 19:47.1 for the boys.

As a team the Tiger boys were 14th.

For the girls, River Crawford was the sole Tiger competing, finishing 87th in 25:05.2.

The top two teams and the top six individuals not on those teams advance to the state meet.
