A video posted by content creator Mahi Khan, known online as MahiNergy, has gone viral after he shared footage of a woman co-passenger allegedly threatening him on an Air India flight for not speaking Marathi.

The incident reportedly took place aboard Air India flight AI676 from Kolkata to Mumbai, where Khan says a woman passenger demanded that he speak Marathi because he was travelling to Mumbai.

In the video, which has garnered over 95,000 likes and more than 9,000 comments in less than 24 hours, Khan can be heard asking the woman, “You are telling me that I need to speak in Marathi?” to which she responds, “Yes, please do that.”

The woman, who refused to identify herself, continued, “You are going to Mumbai, you should know Marathi.”

Khan replied calmly, “No, I don’t speak Marathi.”
