A video showing a Bengaluru traffic police officer and a cab driver getting into a physical altercation near the RT Nagar flyover has gone viral on social media.

The video, shared by the page Karnataka Portfolio, was captioned as a “shocking incident” where the officer allegedly assaulted “an innocent cab driver” over a minor parking issue.

“According to the video and the message written on it, the cab driver had parked his vehicle for just five minutes when the traffic cop suddenly began shouting and abusing him. Moments later, the officer allegedly slapped and manhandled the driver in full public view,” Karnataka Portfolio claimed in the caption of their post.

Eyewitnesses, according to the post, described the cop’s conduct as “a very bad job,” calling it an abuse of authority.
