WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- The News 8 team received a special honor from CT Foodshare during their Taste of Gratitude Awards on Thursday.

News 8 was the recipient of the organization's media award. News 8 partners with CT Foodshare for its annual Thanksgiving and summer food drives.

CT Foodshare uses the awards as an opportunity to thank those who volunteer and play a role in their work they do in Connecticut, where hunger is a growing problem.
