BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The LSU community is celebrating a new $10 million addition to the campus.
LSU leaders were filled with joy to announce the addition of a powerful new microscope to their chemistry and materials building. It's among the most advanced microscopes in the world - requiring its own chamber.
LSU leaders say this advanced piece of equipment will help with research at the atomic level, with things you're likely familiar with, like advancements in rechargeable battery capacity for our iPhones. “This is a fairly unique design," said Dave Laken with Thermo Fisher Scientific.
