BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- More affordable homes are coming to North Baton Rouge as Partners Southeast continues work on the next phase of Cypress at Ardendale, a new community designed for seniors and families.

A news release said the larger Cypress at Ardendale neighborhood will include features that make it easy for residents to connect and stay active, such as a half-acre park, clubhouse with a pool and fitness center, business center, and meeting spaces.

The project is part of the Baton Rouge Choice Neighborhood Transformation Plan, a $400 million public-private effort to rebuild parts of North Baton Rouge with better housing, education, and job opportunities.
