(WYMT) - We are continuing to look back on memorable news, weather and sports moments from the past 40 years.

Thursday night at 11, we remembered a couple of moments in our newscasts that might have given you a laugh at our expense. In 2002, meteorologist Jim Caldwell went down a waterslide during the last newscast Tony Turner anchored. Tony’s reaction to Jim is still talked about today. Years later at Hillbilly Days in Pikeville in 2019, Steve Hensley was almost wiped out by a sudden storm as the 5:30 newscast began!

At number three in our top ten weather events countdown was our most recent disaster: the May tornado that killed 19 people and caused catastrophic damage in parts of Pulaski and Laurel Counties.
