The Club Wyndham Shawnee Village and the WorldMark Shawnee Village, two resorts in the Poconos, will close, according to a recent filing.

Travel + Leisure Resort Development Inc. (formerly known as Wyndham Vacation Ownership, Inc.) filed a WARN notice with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry informing the state that it plans to close the Club Wyndham Shawnee Village and the WorldMark Shawnee Village, at 5255 Buttermilk Falls Road in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, near Shawnee-On-Delaware. One hundred and twenty-four people will be laid off.

The layoffs are expected to begin on December 31 and to be largely completed by January 7. More layoffs will take place by April 7. After that date, a skeleton crew will remain employed temporarily to maintain the property pending its
