Head coach Kevin O’Connell’s Minnesota Vikings are having a tough stretch. After falling short against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6, they took another hard hit Thursday night, this time against the Los Angeles Chargers. The scoreboard read 37-10, but the frustration ran deeper than that. And after the game, O’Connell didn’t sugarcoat anything.
He stood at the podium and faced it head-on. “Nothing much to say. We got outplayed. We got out-coached. There are no excuses. That is not, in any way, shape, or form, our standard. It starts with me. I did not have our team prepared to play.”
Still, not everyone handled the loss the same way. Carson Wentz’s frustration boiled over. He slammed his helmet on the sideline, and that moment went viral fast. But not everyone liked it.
