On this date in 1907, Moorhead residents reported a string of cruel attacks in which vandals killed chickens and pet rabbits out of apparent spite rather than theft.

Several citizens of Moorhead are reporting instances of dastardly meanness which would merit most severe punishment to the perpetrators if only they were known, but so far there is not the slightest clew.
The work of the scoundrels has consisted in the wilful slaughter of fowls and pet rabbits belonging to boys in the families who are the sufferers from the wicked and willful mischief, for that was the object as none of the birds or rabbits were carried away.
