Rachel Wenger, Fargo, is battling several health challenges. While enduring surgery and chemo for colorectal cancer that metastasized to her liver and small intestines, she was required to undergo surgery to place a pacemaker and defibrillator due to congestive heart failure. An online Lend A Hand Up fundraiser has been launched to raise help for Rachel.

Shawn Nelson, Vergas, Minn., was diagnosed with stage 3 vocal cord cancer on Aug. 15th. He underwent surgery to remove part of the tumor and has been traveling daily to Fargo to complete 35 rounds of intense radiation and chemotherapy.
