FARGO — After an uneven and uncertain 2024/2025 season, all eyes were on Fargo-Moorhead Opera’s opening night Friday at Festival Hall, Challey Hall, North Dakota State University.
Those in attendance saw a rich and impressive production of “La Traviata,” the best show FM Opera has produced in two years. The problem is, there weren’t that many people there to see it.
The good news is that you can catch the show and sensational performances by stars Sarah Tucker and Hayden Smith at a second showing on Sunday. The bad news is that plenty of tickets were still available as of this writing Friday night, when the seating map showed more than 80 percent of the concert hall’s 1,000 seats were available.
Tucker’s performance alone is worth the ticket in Giuseppe Verdi’s 1853 classic. The soprano
