ALBEMARLE COUNTY (CBS19 NEWS) — Saturday marked National Drug Take Back Day , a nationwide effort to ensure unneeded medications stay out of the wrong hands.

The Albemarle Police Department hosted four drop-off locations across the county, providing residents with free and anonymous disposal of unused or expired prescriptions — substances that can too often become a gateway to addiction.
