CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — Faculty members at the University of Virginia are voicing concerns following the university’s agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice announced Wednesday.
Under the deal, UVA will not face any financial penalties or federal monitoring but must submit regular reports to the DOJ. The settlement makes UVA the first public institution to reach such an agreement with the Trump administration, resolving multiple investigations into the university’s diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
