BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- The Blair County Sheriff's Office announced that it will be participating in the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
If your medicine cabinet is full of expired drugs or medications, Take Back Day is a way to dispose of expired, unwanted or unused medicines. The Sheriff's Office, along with Altoona, PSU-Altoona and Veteran Affairs Police Departments will be hosting the event on Saturday, Oct. 25.
Anyone looking to drop off medications can do so at Thompson's Pharmacy, located at 600 E Chestnut Avenue. There will also be a site in front of the Blair County Courthouse, located at 423 Allegheny Street.
