SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Emergency officials in Somerset County have confirmed that a man was killed on Friday after being electrocuted.
Somerset County 911 confirmed that just after 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, crews were called for a report of a bucket truck hitting a power line on the 2600 block of Keyerstown Road. Crews arrived to find a male victim who had been in the truck when it hit the powerlines, had been electrocuted, and was on fire.
EMS arrived to find the victim roughly 20 feet up in the powerlines, and later confirmed that he had passed.
Officials noted that the road was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
