ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Tomorrow is National Drug Take Back Day — and law enforcement agencies and businesses are encouraging residents to dispose of unused medications.
National Drug Take Back Day is an initiative that began by the DEA in an effort to ensure unused prescription drugs don't fall into the wrong hands.
Local law enforcement agencies such as the Ontario County Sheriff's Office and businesses such as Tops Friendly Markets' pharmacies and some Wegmans locations are taking part in the initiaitve. These organizations are allowing anyone to safely and anonymously dispose of unneeded pills.
Wegmans is partnering with the Newark Police Department to take back unneeded tablets, capsules, and patches from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Steuben County Sheriff's Office is also allowing medic
