Scotland Demands Better – march on Saturday
A large turnout is expected at a march through the city centre on Saturday.
There are calls from trade unions to join the march at the flag poles at The Scottish Parliament at 10am.
This is a march to demand fair pay, properly funded public services, and action on the rising cost of living.
The march is billed as family friendly and the route will go from Holyrood up the hill to the Meadows where there will be music, speeches, food and children’s activities.
There will be rolling road closures from 10am to 2pm on Horse Wynd and Queen’s Drive at Horse Wynd which will be closed 10am – 11.30am.
Royal Mile, New Street, Bank Street, George IV Bridge, Forrest Road, Teviot Place and Laurison Place closed 10.30am – 2pm.
