KeyBank opened its new downtown Akron branch this week that it relocated from about a third of a mile up the road .

The new branch opened Oct. 20 at 379 S. Main St. in Akron, according to a news release from the Cleveland-based bank.

The branch hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays, according to KeyBank's website . The branch is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The ADA-compliant branch has an after-hours depository, private offices and free parking.

The KeyBank Foundation donated $10,000 to Fathers & Sons of Northeast Ohio during the bank branch's Oct. 22 grand opening. Fathers & Sons, an Akron nonprofit, promotes and encourages responsible fatherhood through programming such as education, mentorship and navigating the court system.
