An investigation is underway after a group of youths set fireworks off inside a Glasgow shopping centre.

Officers were called to Springburn Shopping Centre, on Springburn Way, following the incident around lunchtime on Thursday, October 23.

No arrests have been made, however, police are working hard to track down those involved.

According to reports on social media, the centre was on lockdown following the incident, which caused alarm to shoppers.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.35pm on Thursday, 23 October, 2025, police received a report of youths setting off fireworks in Springburn Way.

"Enquiries are ongoing to locate those involved."
