My wife and I attended the “No Kings” rally in Cloquet on a beautiful Saturday afternoon on Oct. 18. Over 800 were in attendance: all civil, positive, proud, America-loving citizens.
An older gentleman with a large Trump flag decided to be right up front along the highway. In the midst of his flag waving, he appeared to lose his balance, fell backwards, and almost rolled down the small roadside hill. No fewer than six people immediately attended to him, gave him water, made sure he was OK, and got him back to his feet. He went back to waving his flag.
It was the very definition of freedom, compassion, and basic humanity that a majority of Americans still believe in.
