The Indian men’s cricket team won the 2025 edition of the Asia Cup by getting the better of arch-rivals Pakistan by 5 wickets in the final played on September 28 in Dubai. In the summit clash, India chased down the target of 147 runs in 19.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. Despite winning all seven matches in the tournament, the Indian team was not allowed to take the trophy home. After the Indian team refused to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief Mohsin Naqvi, who is also Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and minister in the Pakistani government, he left the stadium with the trophy and still hasn’t returned it to India.
