ATMs in Melbourne could run dry from Saturday as cash delivery drivers walk off the job in a move that will affect supply during spring racing, punters have been warned.
About 170 cash-in transit workers from Armaguard and Prosegur Australia are planning to strike until Tuesday in Victoria and Tasmania .

The firms distribute 90 per cent of the states’ cash, with the industrial action set to affect ATMs, banks and retail businesses.
Dozens of workers staged a protest on Friday, with pay and safety standards at the heart of the dispute.
“These workers here have effectively not had a pay rise in five years,” Sam Lynch, organising director at the Transport Workers’ Union, said
“We are expecting ATMs to run dry”
