A Mentor teenager has been released on bond following an arrest on child pornography charges.

The city said the 15-year-old was taken into custody last week after a month-long investigation.

He has been charged with 36 felony counts, including pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor.

The teen is a student at Mentor High School.

In an email, the district said they have taken a number of steps to ensure that students and staff are able to operate without additional disruption.
