BUFFALO, N.Y. — A woman is dead following a two-car collision in Cheektowaga late Thursday night.

According to Cheektowaga Police, around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to Union Road at the off-ramp of the Eastbound Kensington Expressway for a crash involving a white Toyota Scion and a black Toyota Highlander.

Officials say the driver of the Scion, a 54-year-old woman, was ejected from the vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts, police say she died at the scene from her injuries.

The occupants of the Toyota highlander, two 15-year-olds, remained at the scene.

Officials say an investigation in the accident is still ongoing, but incudes circumstances surrounding an unlicensed minor driver a vehicle.
