New Delhi: India and the US are close to finalise the proposed Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA), as both sides are on the same page on most of the issues, according to a government official quoted by PTI.
The trade agreement between the countries had too many differences earlier, but now they are trying to sort out the language of the agreement, PTI quoted.
“We are very close to a deal, and not much difference remains (between both sides). Talks are progressing well. There’s common ground on most of the outstanding issues,” the official stated.
No new issues are coming out as a hurdle, and the proposal trade deal talks are progressing well. Five rounds of talks have been completed in the first phase of the bilateral trade agreement so far between India and the US.
