Chennai: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a critical warning that a cyclonic storm, named ‘Montha,’ is likely to form over the southwest Bay of Bengal by the morning of October 27. While the system is predicted to cross the coast near Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, its influence will trigger an Orange Alert for several districts in North Tamil Nadu, forecasting very heavy rainfall and disruptive weather early next week.
