Manitoba’s new Northern & Diverse Creators Program has attracted international attention, thanks in part to the involvement of Oscar-nominated filmmaker Rory Kennedy — the youngest daughter of Robert and Ethel Kennedy and one of America’s most acclaimed documentary directors.

In recent weeks, the groundbreaking training initiative, launched by Film Training Manitoba (FTM) and DOC Manitoba, has been featured by 42 U.S. news outlets, including ABC, CBS, FOX, CW and NBC affiliates. The widespread coverage marks a milestone for Manitoba’s film industry, which continues to gain recognition beyond Canada’s borders.
