A man was found dead in East Los Angeles and sheriff’s homicide detectives Friday are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department personnel responded at approximately 8:20 p.m. Thursday to the 1100 block of North Hazard Avenue, north of Snow Drive and City Terrace Park, where they found the victim, said homicide Lt. Christopher Oakley.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
