The westbound lanes of I-70 were closed at Lookout Mountain on Friday morning due to a car that caught fire. According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the road is closed at mile marker 256.

CDOT posted that drivers can expect a 24-minute delay in that area as all traffic is being rerouted around the car fire.
It was unclear when the interstate would reopen. Drivers were urged to take an alternate route around the closure.
