WASHINGTON — Hundreds of thousands of curling irons have been recalled due to a burn hazard.
J & D Brush said it was recalling some Bio Ionic One-Inch-Long Barrel Curling Irons because the barrel can snap off, posing a burn hazard.
The recall covers around 357,000 units in the U.S., with an additional 3,000 sold in Canada.
According to the recall notice, the impacted units include model number LXT-CL-1.0 and a date code between 0722 and 1223. The model number can be found on the handle and the date code is engraved on the prongs of the iron plug. If the date code is outside that range or the iron shows a different model number, then it is not affected by this recall.
