HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) - Cincinnati Animal CARE is seeking donations to support an organization caring for several horses seized in an animal cruelty case in August.
According to the organization, Fighting Chance Rescue has been housing and providing for the horses since their seizure, covering the full cost of labor as the horses’ recovery.
The horses were seized from the Muddy Water Equestrian Park in Springfield Township, in which an affidavit stated the animals were kept in a “cruel” manner, underweight, had various sores and were deprived of food, water and veterinary care. The owner of the equestrian park, Clarence Clemons, 68, was charged with several counts of cruelty to animals.
