New Delhi: The Indian government announced the winter schedule for domestic airlines, with four new airports added to the network—New Amravati, Hissar, Purnia, and Rupsi airports—on Friday, October 24.
The new winter schedule witnessed a growth of 5.95% in weekly departures compared to 2024. As per the schedule, a total of 26,495 departures are scheduled from 126 airports compared to 25,610 departures per week from 129 airports in the summer of 2025.
“Among the 126 airports, Amravati, Hissar, Purnia , and Rupsi are new additions proposed by scheduled airlines under WS25. Meanwhile, operations from Aligarh, Moradabad, Chitrakoot , Bhavnagar, Ludhiana, Pakyong , and Shravasti airports have been suspended,” the Civil Aviation Ministry added.
