BEMIDJI — Bemidji's new recycling drop-off location at 1917 Fern Street N is now open on the north end of town.
In an effort to consolidate recycling services, the Beltrami County Board of Commissioners approved a motion during a May 20 meeting to close its Target recycling site and open a new recycling site along Fern Street, eventually closing the Northdale Oil drop-off site in the process.
Residents may still deliver recyclables to the Bemidji Transfer Station site, located at 751 Industrial Park Drive SE. Additionally, the county operates seven other recycling sites outside of Bemidji.
The Target recycling site officially closed on July 21 and the Northdale Oil site closed soon after.
