LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The Lubbock High Westerners will appreciate home-field advantage this evening, as they welcome in the Caprock Longhorns from Amarillo. Last week, Caprock denied Coronado its first victory of the season with a 36-26 win. Head coach Juan Rodriguez says his team used that game to better study and prepare for this evening.

“I think one of the things that we took away from that is some of the schemes that they did, we were able to prepare a little bit better for the defense that we maybe want to run tomorrow,” he said. “...So, we were able to kind of pick but some of those, not necessarily tendencies, but some of those rules and techniques that they plan to use.”
